The castle of Rosenholm is the oldest family-owned castle in Denmark, which was founded in 1559 by the powerful Danish nobleman Rosenkrantz. Architecturally it is very different from other Danish castles: it was influenced by the Italian Renaissance style.
Inside the castle there is a museum with a collection of furniture and household items from the XVI-XVII centuries.
The castle is surrounded by a baroque regular park. Guided tours for children and adults take place here, as well as weddings, corporate parties and other events.
